Watch How A Heroic Man Saves A Dog Falling From The 9th Floor Of Building

Adopting a canine is quite similar to bringing a newborn baby to your home for the first time – it entails a lot of preparation. If you own a pup, there is a need to double-check if your house is a safe place for them. If you neglect to make your home a safe place for your pup, you will have to suffer the consequences that may be untoward.

Puppies tend to be naturally playful, explorative, and curious. But with them being so young, they still do not know what is dangerous or not. As one dog owner who had a terrible experience shares, it is really a must to secure your home to avoid accidents and danger.

It all started when the owner's puppy named Mel, an adorable Shih Tzu, was playing in their apartment in Brazil.

Every corner of the apartment has been properly secured, except for one part – the balcony. Mel happens to be a really tiny pooch, making her easily get through the narrow gaps of the railings in the balcony. The owner had always closed the door of the balcony at all times so Mel wouldn't play there. However, on that day, it was left open.

Of course, Mel, being overly curious, went to the balcony and stepped through the railings. When her foot got stuck on the ledge, she was left hanging nine stories high. She panicked and was soon crying out for help.

Fortunately,  a man named Joao Augusto was passing by. He couldn't help but look for the dog who kept on barking.

Finally, Joao sensed the dog's cry was coming from above and looked up. He saw poor Mel was about to fall. But since the pooch was nine stories high, she looked like a little speck from where Joao was standing.

Instantly, Joao's heart raced and he predicted that the pup was going to fall from the building anytime soon! With laser focus and the ability to think fast, he managed to catch Mel in his arms just in time when she was about to hit the ground.

Mel fell straight in Joao's arms and was still very much alive, as seen in the video. Incredible, isn't it?
