It is difficult for dogs to communicate with people because they cannot speak like we do. And Elsie, an American Pit Bull Terrier, certainly knows this.
She had no home and was rescued wandering the streets of Tijuana by the Sunny Day Acres, an animal rescue group. Elsie was thin and pregnant when she was rescued, and her rescuers could not have arrived at an even better moment.
Elsie's present fur parents saw her at Sunny Day Acres, and Elsie's mother was instantly enamored with her. She even stated that she did not wish to have a dog but decided that she wanted Elsie!
Fortunately, this pit bull's present owners insisted on adopting her. Obviously, the fur dad was persuaded to agree, although he was not pleased with the spontaneous adoption. Fortunately, this pit bull was able to convince her fur dad to change his mind about her adoption.
Elsie and her fur dad are currently inseparable. The newfound closeness between them prompted the fur dad to notice several peculiarities in his pet's behavior.
The dog disliked the presence of other dogs but adores humans. She is playful, but she completely disregards her toys.
Elsie's parents decided to have her examined by a veterinarian in order to determine the source of her peculiar behavior. There, they discovered that the dog had a broken leg and poor teeth. Elsie was given pain medicine to assist in controlling the pain.
This pit bull's teeth were loose, so they had them corrected. After that, she began grabbing and chewing her toys! Now, she could no longer survive without her squeaky toys.
Elsie now spends more time at the beach, and the pain medicine she was prescribed allows her to run as much as she desires.
