Most of the cartoons we watch show dogs and cats always fighting. It's either one is a bully while the other one comes out as the good guy. But thankfully, in real life, it isn't always that way with the two animals. This video just proves that dogs and cats could get along pretty well.
Harpurr, a kitten who had no mother around, was found all alone in somebody's backyard on a cold night. The poor kitten was only three weeks old and had no other place to find shelter. Sadly, he was also believed to be accidentally disabled at birth, according to some rescuers.
Luckily, Shannon R. Basner, founded a local rescue organization named Alaska’s KAAAT’s which is an advocacy and rescue organization in Anchorage.
Shannon, who also shares her home with some rescued dogs and cats, strongly felt that Harpurr needed a new four-legged foster mom. As much as she could come off as Harpurr's mother, she already had a better substitute parent for the kitten – her Alaskan Husky, Cinder.
Cinder had given birth to a litter of pups a long time ago. Shannon feels the Cinder had missed being a mother which is probably the reason why the furry canine always showed motherly love when a baby is around.
When Cinder and Harpurr met for the first time, they quickly bonded. The kitten would cozy up and purr while the husky would groom the tiny kitty's fur. They would eat and sleep together. As seen in the video, they really treated each other like family.
Now that Harpurr has grown into a confident cat, he has been given his own set of wheels, which helps him move around from one place to another. Though Harpurr is independent, his friendship and love for Cinder have deepened since he had considered the husky like his own mom.
Here's the video of Harpurr's and Cinder's adorable friendship.
