Watch People Pay Tribute To Military Dog

Dogs are incredibly talented and highly skillful creatures. They can be trained to perform tasks such as the case of assistance dogs, police dogs and more.

Daysi is a military dog that unfortunately was diagnosed with cancer. To prevent her from suffering inevitable pain her life has to be cut short. That must have been a heartbreaking solution. But her handler doesn’t have a choice. It is for her best interest.

Working with the best people in the 802nd Security Squadron in the US Army, Daysi was known to be a loyal and highly intelligent K-9. Her team knows just how much Daysi is dedicated to her job. So in spite of their grief, Daysi’s team and friends decided they have to do something for their last farewell for the brave girl.

Watch the heartbreaking clip below and see Daysi’s fiend and teammates said their goodbyes to their beloved, brave Daysi.

Just like any other dogs, military dogs can form excellent relationships with their handlers. The bond is specially made stronger when both are already fighting in the battle lines and often goes beyond after the military service ends.

Dogs and their handlers work together closely from the very beginning – training, deployment, and recovery. This alone can form a bond so strong nothing can keep them away. Both species rely on each other to survive. Humans rely on the dogs’ extraordinary senses, while dogs rely on their human’s endeavors.

Military dogs are trained to patrol borders and areas, detect contraband and to track enemies. However, they do more than that. Most dogs worked as therapy dogs towards their handlers — not necessarily more of an assistance-dog-type of the way but more as a confidante and a close friend.

Daysi you will surely be missed. You may be gone, but your life of heroism will be remembered always and forever.
