Pretty sure, no one will take their eyes off their dogs after they read this.
Larry Peteet suffers from PTSD and depression. Sandy, his 8-year old Labrador retriever, helps him overcome his challenges and never leaves his side. They are together through thick and thin.
One day, in the mid-October, a local veteran Larry became unconscious while driving along the street in Land O’ Lakes. You see, Larry has a heart condition that needs frequent medical attention. As a result, he had an issue while driving.
After arriving on the scene the firefighter who responded asked a passerby if he would possibly take care of Larry’s dog, Sandy. The Passerby knew of a neighbor who would be able to watch after Sandy while Larry was in the hospital.
So the firefighter relayed the message to Larry telling him that everything was going to be okay for Sandy. Having stayed a few days in the hospital, Larry was discharged and returned to the neighbor’s house looking for Sandy. He was very disturbed to find that Sandy was not with them. They had no information about Sandy’s whereabouts. One said that she was in an animal shelter and the others said they saw Sandy in a different county.
Larry asked for assistance in locating Sandy. He asked for help from the local sheriff’s office. The sheriff soon learned a neighbor took Sandy to a local dog park and gave him away! Wow!? Too bad, no one could reach Larry’s neighbor.
There was nothing that he could do. So he chose to spread the word through local news, fliers, and Facebook. A reward of $500 awaited the person who could locate Sandy.
Finally, good news came. A man named Steve saw the segment on the news and contacted Larry. He explained that his neighbor told him that the owner had abandoned Sandy, but having seen that the owner was looking persistently for his dog, Steve knew what he had to do. Namely, get Sandy and Larry back together.
It was impossible to think, but Larry loved Sandy so much and never gave up on her. Everything turned out Ok. Finally, they have reunited again. Watch the video and prepare for an emotional reunion.
