Aside from being a cute pooch, this dog named Dolly is also very talented. With her innate skills inside the ring, the pooch earned a spot during the 2020 Westminster Dog Show. It was one of her milestones as a dog, according to her owner, Sean Sullivan. Sean, of course, is so proud of his beloved pooch.

In time for the dog show, the pooch failed to advance to the final round after falling short during the qualification rounds. But while this is the case, Dolly’s human cared less because, for him, the dog is already a champion. Sean knew that Dolly did her best, so seeing the pooch compete in the biggest dog show is a feat worth celebrating.

Even though Dolly did not win, the pooch still became famous because she saved her owner’s life. Sean got diagnosed with cancer two years before the dog show, and according to him, it was the dog who discovered the disease. Sean said that Dolly played a vital role in detecting his stage two colorectal cancer. The dog might have sensed that everything is not alright with Sean, so the pooch would follow the man everywhere he goes. According to Sean, Dolly is always by his side weeks before he got diagnosed.

Apart from chemotherapy and radiation sessions, Sean got told that his disposition should always be positive. Dolly’s presence during the entire battle was enough to make Sean feel better. According to him, seeing Dolly ever day pushed him to fight for his life.

This is the reason why Sean is thankful that Dolly never left his side during the darkest moment of his life. For him, although the dog did not win the most coveted dog show competition, this no longer matters. What matters most is that they could try again because they are both alive and healthy.
