How Much Do You Love Your Dog?
Many of us would do anything to show our love and affection for our pets. Would that include a copycat tattoo?
A young man from Texas had adopted a dog from a rescue shelter.
He came with the story of being bounced from home to home in three years. He finally arrived to be with Dan last fall.
His Name is Ernie, and He Is A Pleasant Fellow
The dog was a mixed breed as many rescue dogs are. Dan named him Ernie for a character in a show he liked as a kid.
Ernie is a pleasant fellow. He especially likes to hang out with Dan.
They seem to do everything together. Ernie and Dan even have matching hats and sunglasses. You know it is hot and sunny in Texas.
The Two Are Inseparable
Ernie and Dan walk together they watch TV together, eat and sleep together. The only place you won’t find the two of them is when Dan is at work.
He would like to change that, but his boss is not too keen on the idea, just yet that is.
Dan Likes Body Art
Like many of his age, Dan is into body art. He already has several tattoos.
One day while he was playing with Ernie he noticed a tattoo deep on his belly.
“How Cool Earnie. You have a tattoo also”!
Best Friends and Dan Shows It
Being best friends and wanting to show it Dan made a drawing of the tattoo and took it to his favorite artist.
“Hey, can you make me one of these?”
“Sure,” echoed the specialist and soon Dan and Ernie had similar body art.
What Is This Mark?
Maybe you have seen these in your travels. The symbol is of a male with a line drawn thru it.
In Vet parlance it is a mark of a neutered male animal.
It is Way a shelter or a Vet can say to someone else down the line that this guy is firing blanks without needing the paperwork or a billboard.
Some vet will make a slit in an ear as a similar signal.
We Love It!
Well, Dan had a good laugh when he discovered what some people mean by this.
He says he is sticking to his original purpose being best buds with Ernie.
And he likes showing everyone they are together thick or thin.
