Rescue volunteers from Northeast Animal Rescue, a nonprofit organization devoted to animal rescue, were asked to save a homeless puppy in a Chinese city called Shenyang. A concerned citizen saw the adorable pup wandering an abandoned property all alone. They said they never noticed any adult canine taking care of the small pooch.
A rescue team went to the reported area and saw the young dog. They called out to the pup and reached out for her. But she moved away quickly. They understood that the puppy was scared of the strangers in the lot, but it seemed that wasn’t the case.
A surprise
The cute pup stopped running and turned her small head around. She looked at the rescuers like she was asking them to follow her. She would then move forward and stop whenever the distance between them was too big. The little pooch led them up some stairs and into the doorway of a dilapidated house.
The rescuers followed, and they were met with a surprise. Inside one of the rooms were two more puppies. All of them looked like they were just a month old.
No one gets left behind
They were amazed at the pup that led them to her siblings. She was very smart and couldn’t bear to leave them behind.
One of the rescuers gave the litter some food and water. They were scared at first, and she wanted to gain their trust. Plus, they looked like they haven’t had eaten in a while. Her instincts were right. The puppies were delighted to have a meal and devoured it right away.
After having their fill, the puppies were carried out and taken to the rescue group’s sanctuary. There they were cleaned and given a place to rest. In a few short days, all of them were running and playing around. More importantly, they were doing it together.
Had it not been for their brilliant sister, the two pups would have been left behind.
