Dogs can get very protective especially of their best friends. They make sure that no one can harm them as long as they are around. If ever somebody attempts to do so, they would do everything they can to stop them.
Doggo best friends Winston and Miho were accompanying their hoomans, Sarah and Lindsey, as they went to Sarah’s mother’s house to watch President Biden’s inauguration. However, somebody had accidentally left the door open and the dogs were able to get out.
Not long after, a mountain lion came and saw the two small dogs. The big cat charged and attacked Winston in the blink of an eye. When Miho heard his best friend screaming, he went and chased down the big mountain lion.
Even though Miho is a small Chiweenie, he was brave enough to fight the mountain lion and ran him down with his mighty barks. The lion left them alone but the poor pooch was had wounds all over his face. Sarah and Lindsey were in shock when they found Miho and Winston and brought them to the animal hospital.
Winston the Dachsund was fine but unfortunately, Miho lost one of his eyes because of the lion attack. But all thanks to this brave Chiweenie, Winston is still alive. Miho didn’t seem to mind how small he was because that didn’t stop him from fighting off the mountain lion.
Sarah and Lindsey are so grateful that both of their doggos are okay despite the traumatizing event. They hope that because of this, everyone in their area would become more vigilant about these lions. Residents need to remember that they live in a part of Colorado where mountain lions live.
The hoomans are so proud of Miho for doing everything he can to save his best friend Winston, even if it meant sacrificing his life for him. A lot of things could have gone wrong for Miho but he got lucky. The hero doggo was surely rewarded with lots of treats and lots of cuddles from Winston.
