A few weeks ago, a three-month-old Pomeranian-husky mix showed up at the MSPCA’s adoption center in Boston.
The pup named Tahani came from a breeder who was about to sell her. However, the breeder’s plan changed when Tahani broke her leg.
She was unfit for sale and was instead she went to the shelter.
She is a rare breed. It is quite unusual to see a Pomeranian-husky mix.
So, despite her injury, Tahani left everyone at the shelter in awe of her beauty. She wasn’t only gorgeous. Tahani behaves well too.
She was obviously in pain, but she only stared with her blue eyes and showed how grateful she was for help.
MSPCA director of public relations, Rob Halpin, said that aside from her broken leg, Tahani was in perfect condition.
The vet gave her medication for pain and evaluated the need for surgery. He looked and examined.
Later on, the the X-ray result, confirmed his decisoin that surgery was not necessary. The leg would heal in a splint.
Whew!
So the vet closely monitor Tahani’s condition and monitored her progress.
So far, Tahani has been doing really well, this pleased everyone at the shelter.
Tahani remains playful and sweet and doesn’t seem to mind her splint. She’s doesn’t let it slow her down, said Halpin.
Currently, Tahani lives fostering with one of the shelter’s employees.
She frequently drops by the shelter for her check-ups and still makes the shelter staff happy with her spunky attitude.
Halpin said that Tahani loves playing and exploring. She loves the attention of other people too.
He even said that Tahani is a world-champion cuddler!
Now that Tahani is doing well, the MSPCA has put her up for adoption.
As a result they have received over a hundred adoption applications. This shocking number which delighted the people at the shelter.
Soon, Tahani will find her forever home.
