Quadruple Amputee Doggo Now Proudly Works In Phoenix As A Therapy Dog

Chi Chi is a Golden Retriever who began her life as a farm animal. She was born in South Korea and reared by humans involved in the dog meat industry. She was not considered as a pet so she did not get any kind of affection or care from her humans. They saw Chi Chi as just meat to be sold for profit.

Due to the mistreatment and neglect, all of her legs became infected. And at the age of three, her injuries were so severe that she was deemed unfit for consumption. The breeders were unwilling to spend any more money on her, so they dumped her in a dumpster.

Chi Chi was discovered by volunteers of a rescue organization who brought her to a veterinarian. The physicians did everything they could to stabilize her condition, but her legs could not be saved. They had been severely battered and infected. In order to save her life, they had to amputate her four limbs.

The day following her surgery, Chi Chi was wagging her tail and displaying a broad grin. This surprised everyone who came to her aid. They have rescued so many dogs that are typically introverted and anxious. They had been through a great deal in life and required counseling to learn how to be happy once more.

The shelter staff captured a video of the dog's joy and shared it on social media. A family from Arizona saw the video and instantly fell in love with her personality after viewing it halfway around the world. They read her story and wanted to give her a second chance at life, so they adopted Chi Chi and then flew her to the United States.

Once she arrived, she was taken to a veterinarian and fitted with a special prosthesis. And because of her endearing personality, they also chose to train her as a therapy dog. They knew she was filled with so much love which she could share with everyone.

She now visits schools, hospitals, and facilities for the elderly. Every time she enters a room, she immediately brings smiles.
