Puppies, even right after they are born, move a lot. You may notice them wrestling with each other and competing for mom’s attention, especially when it’s time for their mom to feed them. They may be small, but they may get into big problems.
Your puppies’ safety may be your priority, but sometimes, untoward incidents will still happen. Despite the care and precautionary measures you have in place, your pups have a good way of going around them.
Just take this two-day-old puppy in Queensland Australia for example. It found itself stuck in an unlikely place, which jeopardized its life. One moment, it was just resting with its mom and its siblings. The next moment, it accidentally slid down the drain.
An unfortunate bathroom story
The baby dog, together with its mom and littermates, were placed in its owner’s bathroom. Unfortunately, the pup and one of its littermates slid down the drain.
The dogs’ owner was quick enough to grab one of the pups by its tail. However, the other pup continued sliding down farther, eventually getting stuck in the pipe’s bend.
The owner still tried to get the pup to no avail. That was when they decided to call a plumber for help. At this point, the owner was already panicking.
Trusty plumbers to the rescue
The dog owner’s call reached The Brisbane Plumbers. One of the plumbing company’s staff members said that they initially thought the call was just a prank.
Soon enough, the receiver of the call realized that the concern was serious. He said that he could hear in the caller’s voice that she was not lying.
The plumber arrived at the home as soon as possible. He then placed a small CCTV camera down the pipe to see where the pup was. He also decided to document the rescue mission.
When the plumber determined the location of the pup in the pipe, he cut one section of the pipe and shook the puppy gently to get it out of the tight space.
Fortunately, the puppy did not have any injuries.
