Most pet owners try using dog clothing and booties on their dog; But, the animals are usually not comfortable with this clothing. It takes a long time before they get comfortable in what we let them wear. There are dogs, though, which like wearing clothes on cold days especially before they jump outside for a walk.
The Rapid City Police Department in South Dakota has a K-9 officer named Jary. Lately, he has a video trying a new pair of boots.
Well, he didn’t seem to like wearing them. But because he is a good dog he gave the officers a show. As he walked across the room and he looked as if he was walking through water or Jell-O.
He looked hilarious and cute at the same time. It was pretty evident by his reactions that the new boots confused him. He did not like the feeling on his paws.
As a result, he was taking substantially exaggerated steps. Because he was secretly trying to get rid of his boots, Jary could not get rid of any of the four booties. So, He had no option but to keep his new look.
The police officers were not doing this to make fun of Jary, or to make him look fashionable; nor was it a fashion show either.
The American Kennel Club notes that dogs may wear something on their feet so they can stay warmer. They will also protect them from sharp Ice and to avoid contact with chemicals on the ice.
Many de-icer formulas are harmful or deadly to dogs when swallowed. These could also be dangerous if it contacts the dogs’ skin.
Even though it should be something that is for the benefit of Jary, the police officers still could not help but laugh. Watch Jary’s awkward movements.
