Pardi is a sweet Pitbull who has some weird-looking legs. But even though he was different, his hooman loves him so much. He is an amazing doggo who has survived many difficult circumstances but was still able to keep a strong fighting spirit.
His story began when Pardi’s mother got rescued by The Pittie Project PNW. As she was placed with her foster mom, Ashley, they didn’t realize the doggo was pregnant. The mama pitbull then gave birth to a litter of eight puppies. However, only five of them survived.
Pardi was the smallest among all the pups. He was also brought to the vet because he was always sick, and his left eye wasn’t developing properly. Ashley’s personal dog was brought in and donated some serum to help save Pardi’s eye, but it wasn’t successful.
The vets had no other choice but to remove the doggo’s left eye. However, Pardi started feeling a lot better after the surgery, and his appetite got a lot bigger. This made him grow so quickly that his ankles couldn’t keep up with his body.
Pardi was then diagnosed with Carpal Laxity Syndrome. With his condition, his front legs would knuckle over whenever he walked. Even though it was a bit terrifying at first because Ashley was so worried that Pardi could trip at any time, the doggo eventually got the hang of it.
The pooch was then adopted by his new hooman, Rachel. She continued to help Pardi walk through physical therapy four times a day, and sometimes, he would wear braces on his front legs, which helps keep him stable.
Rachel is there to spoil Pardi with so much love and support. His contagious positivity just never fails to make everybody around him smile. He is an adorable and loving doggo who always makes his hooman feel loved and appreciated for giving him his forever home.
