Nicole Kidman sure knows how this feels when she first takes hold of a dog.

The Big Little Lies star is the recent celebrity who adopted a dog.

With her excitement over her newly-adopted miniature red poodle, the actress broke the news to her fans online.

In an Instagram post, Kidman, now 52, said it is her first time to have a puppy of her own.

Her caption likewise says that she has been waiting for this moment to arrive since she has been raring to have a pooch to take care of.

Positivity and happiness are evident in her post.

Because of that some of her well-meaning and fellow celebrities congratulated her crossing a new milestone.

Kidman’s fellow celebrities mentioned how cute her adopted is.

Although we still don’t know the name of the pooch, the photo of the actress genuinely smiles as they first meet.

The pooch, on the other hand, seems to enjoy what the actress is doing, and even kisses her on the forehead.

Voice actress Isla Fisher is one of the celebrities who left a comment on the post saying how endearing and cute the pooch was.

Country singer Kimberly Schlapman, meanwhile, commended Nicole Kidman with her decision to adopt a dog.

Schlapman told Kidman that she would have a friend for life.

The dog is a new addition to Kidman’s family.

Aside from the pooch, the actress is also busy looking after her daughters Sunday Rose, 11, and Faith Margaret, 8.

The two are her children with Keith Urban.

She also takes good care of Connor and Isabella Jane, her children with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
