As many as there are many happy dog stories out there, there are also many heartbreaking ones. Some of them might not have a happy ending. But this story is an exception. This one began with a sad tone but ended up with a happy note. This is the story of Siggy and the man who found her on the street named Lionel.
Lionel Vytialingam lives in Ipoh, Malaysia. One day, while he was driving on the road from a trip to the grocery store, Lionel heard car horns. He decided to look over and spotted a terrified dog, which seemed to be anxiously walking around. He then decided to follow where the small dog was going so he could see if it needed any help.
When Lionel finally caught up with the poor dog, he saw a note attached to the collar. The letter was folded up and all soggy. He walked closer to the dog and slowly approached to see what’s written in it. The note said that the dog’s name is Siggy and that she’s a lovable and attentive dog. It’s also written that Siggy’s owner can no longer care for her and had to leave her for someone to pick her up.
In Siggy’s point of view, the note was asking for anyone who found her to take the dog in. Siggy, a 5-year old Goldendoodle, has not been neutered according to the note, but she’s also lovely and hadn’t bitten anyone. In the note, the adorable little pup also promised to stand guard at her new master’s home and bark at anyone at the gate. And she can do tricks too!
According to Lionel, he was touched and couldn’t believe what he read. And without much thought, he took the puppy home. The puppy was scared at first, but she crawled into the car and looked at Lionel with a pleading eye. Lionel said the dog began trusting him as the drive going home progressed. He fed and bathed her and made a cozy bed for her under his couch.
