As dog owners, we can surely all agree that dogs are the ideal traveling companions. They keep you entertained and are really excited about the many locations that they get to see. If you have never really taken your dog on a road trip before, you should probably give it a shot. You will realize that they are excellent travel companions.

When a man named Michael Fiala decided to take a road journey across the United States, he did so with his dog, Sox, in mind. Michael chose to travel the entire way on his motorcycle and even trained Sox to ride on the back. As soon as Sox mastered riding a motorcycle, Michael decided to embark on their epic road adventure.

Ten years have passed since Michael and Sox began their road adventure together. Sox was considerably older, yet he still enjoyed traveling with his father. Sox loves the motorcycle, and anytime he wanted to go for a ride with Michael, he would always hop on it to tell Michael what he wants.

Michael is always willing to take Sox for a ride and would do it whenever he wanted. But as Sox grew older, it became increasingly difficult for him to ride on the motorcycle’s back.

Michael also observed that Sox had a neck bump. Eventually, following a trip to the veterinarian, it was determined that Sox had two distinct forms of cancer.

Sox ultimately underwent surgery to remove six malignancies from his body. After his surgery, it was impossible for Sox to do any tasks during his recovery period. Sox was disappointed when he was unable to go on travels, motorbike rides, and other experiences, as he was used to doing them.

Sox quickly recovered and was eager to resume his travels with Michael. Michael planned to put a sidecar on his motorcycle so that Sox would be safer and more comfortable during their motorcycle trips and so the dog can continue riding the motorcycle with him.
