Choco Matos is a homeless man that lives in Bucaramanga, Colombia. He had been living through tough times for many years. But even though he lacked food, shelter, and money, he had abundant love in his heart. This is all thanks to his two dogs, Shaggy and Nena.
Despite not having many resources, Choco was devoted to his pets and ensured they were well cared for. Even if that meant he would go hungry. His love for Shaggy and Nena was captured one day by a camera, and from there, their life changed for the better.
Birthday
One fateful day, a parkgoer saw Choco and his two dogs sitting on some steps. She noticed the homeless pet owner putting on party hats on his canines. The park visitor decided to take out her phone and record what was happening.
Something special was indeed about to occur.
In a few moments, Choco brought out a cake, lit the candles on top of it, and started singing to his dogs. The lady later learned that it was Shaggy's birthday. The trio looked like they were having a lot of fun, especially when they started eating the cake.
Choco had pure happiness on his face.

The woman who took the video approached Choco, and they talked about his life. She learned his name and his story. As it turned out, Choco ran away from an abusive home and met the two stray dogs.
The very next day, she posted the video online. It quickly became viral.
People started flocking to the park where Choco and his dogs frequently stayed. They would bring food for the trio and even give the homeless man money. This made them even more popular, and soon enough, Choco and his pets would have enough to find their own home.
