Casper, a 9-year-old dog, was surrendered by his owner to a California shelter in poor condition. He had several cancerous growths, an ear infection, a broken tooth, and various other ailments, causing him to feel pain.
The shelter contacted local rescues to see if anyone could help because they didn’t want to watch the dog suffer. The shelter sent an email to local rescue services stating that they would send the dog to euthanization the following day to prevent any further suffering if no one came forward to help.
The next day, at 11:30 am, volunteers arrived to save him from dying and took him to a vet, where Casper was set on multiple medications to help with infections.
After that, Casper was taken in by a foster family and put on specific nutrition to help him recover before he came back to the vet to have more tumors removed. The vet bills rapidly increased, and the rescue demanded help covering all the expenses.
That is when GreaterGood and unselfish people stepped up to help. Thanks to their contributions, Casper received the care he required and deserved.
Casper gained his groove back and settled down as a foster failure. Every day, he appreciates his brand-new mom by covering her with kisses. He enjoys short walks with his canine sister and loves every person he meets.
His new family knows his medical needs and will shower him with love for the rest of his days.
The rescue organization stated: “Thank you for all your contributions. Because of you, Casper got the procedure to make his senior years golden!”
