When a dog and a child grow up together, a very special connection is formed between the two of them. This connection is precious and something that not all people get to have.
A basset hound puppy named Leroy and his toddler best friend Maverick took their friendship to the very next level when they actually decided to go “Mission: Impossible” on their refrigerator.
Leroy and Maverick are just about the same age. They are also constant companions, both in good times and, more frequently, in mischief.
Leroy, a one-year-old basset dog, often stays near Maverick because he enjoys stealing treats and toys from him. And Maverick, his two-year-old best pal, has no objections whatsoever. They are also quite inseparable, and almost like identical twins.
One time, when he was out of snacks, Maverick determined he was old enough to get some for himself. But he was unable to reach the refrigerator handle.
Naturally, Leroy was present as usual, so they joined forces for a worthy cause: to feed the needy – or rather, their hungry stomachs.
Maverick pulled Leroy’s collar and put him right by the refrigerator. Despite the fact that Leroy does not typically follow directions well, he was surprisingly eager to comply with what Maverick was showing him what to do.
The team was successful in their plan. Maverick got onto Leroy, reached for the refrigerator’s handles, and opened the door. He fell but he quickly regained his balance and climbed back up.
A few seconds later, Leroy left Maverick hanging by the refrigerator as he left the room. It seems like Leroy missed the briefing on this mission.
However, do not fret. This is really not the last time we’ll hear from our favorite duo, Leroy and Maverick. Leroy will soon be able to do more for Maverick once he has received additional training. They surely have the rest of their amazing life together to devise more mischief.
