To be called a hero, size and strength are definitely not requirements. In fact, four young boys between the ages of 7 and 13 have proven this to be true. The brothers are from Detroit and they gave a stray dog a chance at a better life, thus becoming the dog’s heroes.
Kevin, Kenny, Kenneth, and Andrew discovered an abandoned puppy while assisting a neighbor with relocating. The boys were stunned to discover that she was unable to move since she was bound with a bungee cord.
It was also clear that the poor dog had not been fed in a considerable amount of time. She was extremely malnourished and weak. She appeared to have really lost the will to fight for her life, as she lay still on the ground.
Realizing that the dog needed immediate assistance, they released her and took her home. They even provided her with food and a place to stay. The guys gave her the name Sparkles.
As they were unable to keep the pup, they reached out to the non-profit Detroit Pit Crew Dog rescue organization for aid. The organization’s team arrived swiftly and collected the dog.
According to Theresa Sumpter, the organization’s founder, the children were genuinely concerned about the dog’s welfare. She could sense that they were anxious about Sparkles’ future and where she was heading. Theresa informed them that the puppy will be adopted and cared for by a loving family.
Four days after she was discovered by the kind-hearted young men, Sparkles was taken in by the nonprofit group Pet Tales Rescue in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who already had a list of families interested in adopting her. She has received medical care and is now adoptable.
Those kind children have altered the dog’s fate, and she now has the potential to live happily forever.
