Dogs Discover A Trapped Mouse, And The Canines’ Curious Nature Had Them Sniffing And Pawing At It

Dogs owners know that one can never predict how their pets would behave when they’re in their natural hunting mood. The dogs in this story certainly gave their owners a sight to see when they discovered a mouse inside a mouse trap.

When the dogs spotted the rodent inside the trap, they immediately went into hunting mode. The mouse quickly darted around, and soon, both dogs were barking and pawing at the trap attempting to get to the prize.

The mouse, however, was not about to be intimidated so easily. It managed to stay just out of reach. We say it was quite a workout for everyone involved, but the dogs had more fun. Hunting games are fun for the hunter, after all.

It’s always interesting to watch our dog friends go into hunting mode. They get so excited and bark wildly at the notion of catching their prey. On the flip side, the prey doesn’t enjoy these instances, and we can understand why.

While we found this whole clip entertaining, we could imagine that the tiny rodent felt terrified. Perhaps if the mouse in this story was as big as Disney’s Mickey Mouse, it would have felt differently.

The dogs had the most fun, for sure, but we could tell that they were holding back. It’s not in their nature to hurt intentionally unless something or someone poses a threat.

In the end, the dogs’ owners had to intervene to stop the game, but not before their dogs had their fill of the fun and some much-needed exercise. And as for the mouse? Well, it managed to escape unharmed and is probably still running around somewhere.

So when dealing with our dog pets, let’s remember that they may be adorable and fun-loving, but they still have instincts they respond to. Thanks for checking in, until next time!
