Dog Who Has Been Living As A Stray For 7 Years Finally Reunites With His Fur Mom

One of the worst things a fur parent can experience is when their fur babies suddenly go missing. If it is only possible to speak our dog’s language and tell them not to hide or run away from us, no doubt our lives would be easier. But even though we can’t communicate with our dogs, we can take measures to ensure we can find them again if ever they get lost, just like what happened to a pup named Honey, who lives in Texas.

Honey was rescued by staff members at the City of Antonio Animal Care Services. They initially thought that he was a stray, but after finding a microchip on the pup, they found out that he was a missing pup. Thanks to the microchip, they contacted Honey’s fur mom and informed her that he is staying with them at the shelter. To their surprise, on that same day, Honey’s fur mom arrived at the shelter ready to reclaim her pup.

The shelter staff members were a bit intrigued, given how fast the pup’s fur mom arrived. One of the staff accompanied Honey as he was brought out to meet the woman claiming to be his owner. As soon as the woman saw Honey, she fell on her knees, burst into tears, and embraced the pup in her arms. Honey responded to the woman’s affection, and through his body language, he showed that he remembers her.

Honey started to wag his tail in happiness; at last, the pup is in his fur mom’s arms once again. The staff members were happy to watch the reunion of Honey and his fur mom. According to the pup’s fur mom, Honey has been missing for about seven years! If not for the microchip, they would most likely still be separated.

Microchipping your dog can make a big difference when they are faced with situations like that of Honey. Though Honey has gone through a rough life throughout those seven years of being on the streets, what matters now is that his fur mom found him. Surely, his fur mom will shower him with lots of love to make up for the years they spent apart.
