A father in the Guiyang, Guizhou province at the South-west of China adopted a puppy back in 2016. His daughter is still young at the time. Growing up, the daughter becomes overly distracted by her phone even when doing homework. Unknown to the girl, Xu, his father, trained their dog since the beginning to supervise her.
So when the time is right, the father just points its dog to the table whenever his daughter does her homework. The dog immediately stands in front of the girl and guard her. The dog barks anytime she tries to pick up her phone or do something else than her homework. This lets her father know that she did other things than her homework, like grabbing the phone.
How you can train your dog like Xu
In an interview with video site Pear, Xu explained that the training started as soon as he adopted the dog in 2016. He was a puppy back then. He started home training and later on, obedience training. He set the coffee table where his daughter does her homework as a guarding object to the dog. So when he points out to it, the dog immediately knows that he wants him to guard the girl.
