Dogs are everyone’s best friend, including other animals. It is quite easy for dogs to form a bond with just about anyone and any animal there is. Being naturally pack animals, dogs love making new friends, and it is not uncommon to read about stories of dogs on the internet who have befriended the most unlikely of creatures.
There are dogs who have befriended cats, pigs, birds, chickens, and even dolphins who spend most of their time in the water. Dogs just won’t let anything get in the way of friendship, not even diversity.
One such story is that of Contino the horse, and Boss the dog. Boss is a playful Doberman who loves making friends. One of his friends, Contino, is a horse. Boss has been nicknamed the “Horse whisperer” due to his ability to lead Contino despite their size difference.
When Boss is around, Contino sees to it that he follows Boss. Boss can even be seen walking Contino on a lead. Both animals have formed a special bond that allows them to feel secure when the other is around.
The video of Boss and Contino below gives us a glimpse of how both animals treat each other. They can be seen cuddling, giving each other kisses, and there are even pictures where Boss seems to be looking out for his best friend, Contino.
The video also shows Contino “petting” Boss with his mouth. Horses usually are skittish around other animals, but Contino shows a different side of horses, one where they befriend animals of other species.
We can really learn something from animals about love and trust. That friendship is more than just skin deep, and that it is a feeling that all living things share.
