Dog And His Two Pups Land Up In The Same Neighborhood After Their Time At A Texas Animal Shelter

Three dogs from a Texas animal shelter found themselves in homes in the same neighborhood in New York City. Their owners have now become friends, and the story of Marvin, Leo, and Murray feels like it's straight out of a movie.

Mattie Kahn and her boyfriend, Jason Hellerstein, gave Marvin a home, and they all reunited with Leo and Murray, Marvin's two sons. The three dogs originally lived at Dr. Dolittle's Rescue Ranch in McAllen, TX, and were left at the shelter, according to Tammy Vergel de Dios, the director of the rescue center.

Surprisingly, Marvin returned with his two sons because they were all adopted by different families and could have ended up anywhere. However, fate had other plans, and they ended up in the same neighborhood, very close to each other.

First, Marvin got a new family, and then Tara Derington adopted Leo through Petfinder. When Derington reached out to the shelter to get Leo's rabies tags, she found out that Leo's father lived in the same neighborhood as her. She then informed her friend, Anne Sachs, who adopted Murray.

One day, when Derington took Leo for a walk, a dog started sniffing at him. While speaking to the dog's owner, he learned that both dogs were from the same shelter. He was surprised that the dog sniffing Leo was Leo's dad.

Murray's owner said that he never expected to find Murray's dad. The owners planned a great family reunion for Marvin, Leo, and Murray at the Bull Moose Dog Run.
