The Doggy

Cow Who Grew Up In The Company Of Canines Is Convinced He’s A Dog

Goliath and his three brothers have so many things in common. They all have a tail, four legs, and their bodies are covered in fur. Despite these similarities, you can easily spot Goliath whenever he's hanging out with his brothers. Why? Well, let's just say he “stands out.”

What's interesting about the relationship Goliath has with his brothers is that the three of them belong to a different species. They're all dogs, and he's a cow. However, despite these differences, the three dogs treat Goliath as if he were also a dog. In fact, they've had him convinced that he's a canine too!

One of the dogs

Goliath's mom gave birth to him on a dairy farm. He was meant to be slaughtered, but Shaylee Hubbs stepped in and saved his life. She rescued Goliath and brought him to her family's ranch located in Danville, California.

During his stay at the ranch, the cow got to foster a strong relationship with the family's dogs. He would hang out with them, eat with them, take baths with them, sleep with them, and play with them. All this bonding eventually led him to believe that he was a dog, just like them.

According to Shaylee, the cow would pay attention to everything his brothers would do. He would try to imitate how they ate their food or drank water. Goliath would also copy how the dogs would curl themselves up on their beds. He would copy every little thing!

Living the good life

Goliath is far from the weak and sad calf that he was when he first arrived at the ranch. He's now happy, healthy, and living his best life. Goliath enjoys being loved by Shaylee's family, even if it means sharing the space with his three canine brothers and other farm animals. To know more about this story, watch the video below:
