When an accident or calamity occurs, we do our best to help ourselves before others. However, pet owners should also consider their pets and how they would escape the predicament.
A family in Pasco County, Florida contacted a fire deputy officer to rescue their two cherished dogs from their burning home.
One day in January at approximately 7:30 p.m. in Florida, USA, a Pasco deputy officer saved two dogs from a house fire.
It all began when the police arrived at the location of the blaze. He quickly exited his vehicle and ran towards the residents of the burning home and surrounding homes. He asked if everyone was okay.
Then, he asked the homeowners to ensure that there were no more people inside the burning house. Following that, he entered the backyard to search for more signs of life.
He soon saw two terrified Shih Tzus hiding behind the fence. The deputy officer attempted to call the dogs by whistling, but they were as terrified of him as they were of the fire.
Observing that the dogs were fearful and unwilling to approach him, he moved deeper into the backyard and closer to one of the two dogs. The deputy officer picked up one of the small Shih Tzus and examined it for wounds.
After determining that there were no wounds or burns, the officer proceeded to examine the other dog. After lifting the second animal, the deputy also checked it for injuries. Then, he ran toward safety and away from the burning house.
The family expressed gratitude that the officer had located their dogs. They all traveled to a secure location to spend the night with their two Shih Tzus, who were all safe and totally unharmed.
Thank you, brave officer, for doing what you did to ensure that everyone, even the dogs, was safe!
