Baseball Umpire Gets Booed After Being Rude To A Bat Dog

Finn is a baseball bat-retrieving dog who serves as Las Vegas Aviators Professional Baseball Team’s Official Bat Dog.

His dad and Sit Means Sit Dog Training founder, Fred Hassen, trained him well for this job. He’s a very good boy who does his job really well.

A few weeks ago, Finn was dutifully doing his job at a minor league game. Las Vegas Aviators were playing against the Sacramento River Cats.

However, at one point in the game, a game official flipped the script for an inexplicable reason.

Hassen signaled for Finn to pick the bat up. As the bat dog was cheerfully running to fetch the discarded bat, one of the umpires came and picked it up before Finn could get there.

Then, the umpire tossed it away from the eager dog’s reach, not letting the dog do his job. Finn got snubbed, and the crowd wasn’t happy about what happened.

The crowd booed the game official to show their disapproval of what he did.

It didn’t matter which team they were rooting for. They all showed that they were on team Finn’s side in the matchup against the umpire.

Despite what happened, Finn remained focused on his bat-collecting job.

He followed through and picked up the bat from where the umpire threw it. Then, Finn returned the bat to his dad for safekeeping.

He’s such a good boy!

Finn’s moment with the umpire was captured on video and was uploaded on his official Twitter page.

It earned thousands of reactions and millions of views. The clip has even reached the news.

Aside from retrieving bats during the game, Finn also has other responsibilities.

He brings the umpires water and entertains the crowd too. The players and the fans love meeting him, and he loves being with them too.

Great job, Finn!
