There are dog owners who would abandon their pets without any regrets whatsoever. Thankfully, there are organizations willing to care for abandoned animals and assist with their adoption. Planned Pethood Plus, led by veterinarian Dr. Jeff, has a reputation for taking in all animals in need and assisting them in finding permanent homes.

A man brought Jake, a severely injured beagle belonging to a friend, to this famous vet one day. It appeared from the dog's numerous wounds that he was involved in a vicious dog fight.

One of the vets shaved Jake's fur to provide greater access to his wounds before beginning treatment. And it was quickly determined that this dog had horrific bite marks and bruises. It was apparent that Jake was experiencing a great deal of pain. Thankfully, the x-ray revealed that he has no further undisclosed problems.

Jake was prescribed antibiotics by Dr. Jeff. It will be tough to treat all of Jake's injuries, therefore he was also concerned about Jake catching an infection.

In the meantime, another veterinarian sought to contact Jake's owner but had much difficulty doing so. According to the friend who brought in the animal, the owner was in the process of selling her home.

The owner finally answered the phone after the shelter tried to contact her for a significant amount of time. Sadly, she wanted Jake to be euthanized, despite Dr. Jeff's intense opposition.

Dr. Jeff always gives animals a second chance. Therefore, the organization decided to phone the owner again and ask whether she desired to transfer ownership of the dog. It was fortunate that the owner agreed, as Dr. Jeff and the rest of the team quickly began searching for a new and suitable home for Jake.

Despite being ravaged by wounds, Jake was in terrific health. People were able to see a poster of him near the clinic's entrance while he was undergoing treatment. And after six weeks, he was adopted by a loving person who provided him with the home he deserved.

This individual was Cliff, and he had long wished to have a beagle. When he drove by Dr. Jeff's office, he was curious to see whether there were any beagles, and he noticed Jake's poster. Jake got a new owner right then and there.
