After the long wait that took almost two years, dog-owner Jose from Wisconsin reunited with his friend Chaos, last April.
Jose was thankful for the implanted microchip that Chaos had made their reunion possible.
Wow, What A Suprise!
Chaos was found in a driveway in Illinois as far as two hours from Jose's Home.
The Winnebago County Animal Services was able to contact Jose by using the tracking device implanted in Chaos' microchip.
Jose told the animal service that he was reluctant at first in getting a microchip because of the price.
He added, “I was living from paycheck to paycheck. Paying for food my home and my car, but I knew that getting Chaos a microchip was the best thing that I should do for him.
It turns out that it was a great decision I have made. It brought my dog back to me!”
Here's How It Happened
About two years ago Jose was experiencing hard times. He gave Chaos to a friend to watch and care for him.
Although it was heart-wrenching for him, he wanted his pup to have a better life. When Jose got back on his feet and ready to take Chaos back, his buddy refused to return him. He had grown used to having Chaos around; he did not want to part with him.
Jose was broken-hearted by the thought of not being with his dog again. “My dog was with me everywhere I went, and he has helped me through many things in my life. At that time I was thinking; I might not be able to see him again,” Jose recalled.
Chaos Disappears… Oooh No!
In the months that followed, Chaos was reported to be roaming near a driveway in South Beloit, Illinois. No one was attending him. Local officials in the neighborhood contacted the local shelter thinking he was a stray.
Chaos still had his tags and ID indicating Jose as the owner. Lucky for him. The staff of the animal service immediately drove to pick up the dog and brought him back to the shelter. Hoping to locate the owner they scanned Chaos looking to test his tracking device. What do you know?
Microchip Does the Job!
Just as Jose received a notification to renew Chaos's microchip, he got a call from the animal rescue service staff. Jose could not believe what he was hearing. They described Chaos to him, and instantly knew Chaos was coming home! Immediately the following day, he took off for the shelter to fetch Chaos.
A Very Emotional Reunion
“I could not stop smiling. I am so happy that I am speechless. I feel very amazing and am the happiest man joining up again with my dog after two years,” Jose ecstatically said. When Chaos saw Jose at the shelter, he jumped all over him and greeted his owner-best friend as enthusiastically as he possibly way he could.
