A few months ago, the road race for the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10K occurred again in New Orleans.
The 41st of the annual tradition encourages people to improve fitness while having fun.
While this event is true to its intended purpose, someone unexpectedly stole the spotlight.
Max is a super adorable Pembroke Welsh corgi from New Orleans who is Colin buddy.
Just like hundreds of others, the two of them were out on a Saturday to watch the annual running event.
On the sidelines together with their friend Mary Jacobs, they love cheering on the participants who were members of their gym.
At one point, the cutest little pooch got a bit tired.
Cheering and waiting in the sun must have taken a toll on him.
So, to his rescue, his dad decided to pick him up.
However, Colin wouldn’t have guessed that this would trigger the most adorable response.
When the runners saw Max’s tummy out in the open while his dad was cradling him,
they began to take advantage of the rare opportunity.
It’s high time to give the cutest little pooch the most tender belly rub.

The little pup’s tummy seemed to effortlessly attract the runners.
Mary said that Max got belly pats throughout the race.
She also said that it was so fun to see people adding a few seconds to their time just to pet Max.
The runners loved doing it, and Max seemed to enjoy all the pets and attention that he got.
But who could say no to that?
Max got his much-wanted pats, and the runners got their unexpected extra speed boost.
It’s indeed a win-win situation.
Some would even argue that the belly rubs were for luck and who wouldn’t agree?
Tell us what you think?
We really enjoyed this story.
