The Doggy

A U.S. Soldier Adopted A Dog He Found In Syria And Transported Him To New York To Become An Official Member Of His Family

It's quite fascinating to see people fall in love with dogs because of the extra mile they take to express their love for their furry friends. For this United States Army Specialist named Tyler, he decided to take this ‘extra mile' a bit literally. He transported a dog 6,000 miles to his home.

While stationed in Syria, Tyler unexpectedly found an adorable fluffy dog who captured his heart. He immediately decided to take care of the homeless dog, named her Daisy, and became her buddy while serving in Syria. Knowing the challenges that stray dogs are going through in Syria, Tyler became a willing companion and father to Daisy. He promised himself that he would fill her with so much love every single day, and he never broke that promise ever since they met.

Daisy became a source of strength and peace for Tyler amid the country's gloom, tensions, and turmoils. The two eventually formed a strong bond with each other and became the best of friends.

But the day came when Tyler was asked by his superiors to permanently leave Daisy unless someone would officially take responsibility for the dog. Tyler immediately volunteered to officially take responsibility for the dog and decided to transport her to his family in New York without wasting any time. And that's where Daisy's 6,000 mile-long journey began.

From Syria, Daisy traveled to Iraq, then to Germany, and finally to New York to meet Tyler's family. Thanks to the assistance of the Society for the Prevention and Cruelty to Animals, Daisy had a safe (and comfy) trip from Syria to New York.

When Tyler and Daisy finally met again, and their bond became even stronger. The soldier was so thankful to Daisy because she became a source of strength and hope while serving in Syria. The once homeless dog has helped Tyler cope with his longing for a family while in a foreign country.

But as much as Tyler wants to be beside Daisy for a long time, he still has a duty to fulfill in Syria and has to leave Daisy for a while again. But this time, Tyler is confident that his beloved dog would be showered with care and love every day now that Daisy is staying with his family. And even though they will be apart again, their love, care, and affection for each other would certainly not change.
