Some dog owners treat their pups as their own children. They buy them the latest clothes, a fancy bed (similar to a child’s bed), and taking them to the best (not to mention expensive) dog groomers in town.
No wonder the pet industry is one of the fastest growing. Did you know, a fashion set for dogs is now trending. It’s popular with pet owners but it is also causing harm to our furry baby’s health.
Nowadays, pet owners have begun to dye their pet’s fur. Well, to be honest, if done right, it definitely looks cute.
However, hair dyes are often mixed with ammonia and hydrogen peroxide, which causes allergic skin reactions and irritation to our dogs.
It may also cause burns and discomfort.
We have to remember that hair dyes are designed for human hair and not for dog’s fur.
Also, according to studies, dying a dog’s fur causes anxiety on their part. They are not able to recognize themselves after turning pink.
Even though there is so much risk involved in dying dog’s fur, it’s a trend that is popular in many countries.
They dye them to look like a panda bear or a lion, just like the man who was caught in Sochi, Russia.
This man was scamming tourists enticing them to take a picture with a panda.
Apparently, the “baby panda” is a Chow Chow breed dog with fur dyed to look like a baby panda.
The man was reported to the police by the locals who saw him scamming tourists by taking money, in exchange for a photo with the dog he said was a panda bear cub.
Also, the locals reported the man because he was forcing his dog to work under extreme heat.
He also claimed to own a lion cub and kite bird that he lends to tourists for a photo.
The Russian authorities are now investigating this man and will press charges if proven guilty.
He is also under investigation for possession of illegal animals.
