A lady called Jenny Desmond came across a dying dog along the roadside. He looked sickly, desperate, and in need of help. Jenny’s kind heart led her to rescue the little puppy.
Jenny’s love of animals
Jenny and her husband, Jim, worked together at the chimp’s sanctuary, and they saw it worth taking the needy puppy to the refugee center, even though the animal wasn’t a chimpanzee.
The couple protects wild chimps in their natural habitat and rescues them from the unusual pet trade. However, Jenny and Jim sympathized with the sickly young puppy even though it wasn’t their usual job.
Jenny adores animals so much that she can’t let her heart see one suffering. She can rescue any animal in need, from chickens to grasshoppers.
The dog’s recovery process
Luckily, Jenny’s husband was a vet, and he could save the puppy’s life that they later named Sweetie Snafu.
After Snafu received treatment, Jim protected his wound by putting a cone in it to prevent him from interfering with the scars.
The chimps on the sanctuary welcomed Snafu as their brother with love. The chimpanzees ensured that the puppy felt loved by snuggling and cuddling him.
Snafu recovered fully after several months in the sanctuary and now looks healthy and robust.
After Snafu’s recovery, Jenny arranged for the dog’s transportation to the United States. After arriving there, Snafu found an adoptive family.
Snafu’s adoption
Eventually, finding a forever home for the homeless dog is essential and a blessing. Jim and Jenny are among the compassionate and heartless individuals who are hard to find. However, there is much appreciation for the couple because Snafu is now in a new loving home and is under good care.
If you love animals, like the couple, adopt needy dogs to save their lives and help them live longer.
