A Group Of Friends Risked Their Lives To Rescue A Puppy

When a group of friends was enjoying their hiking trip in Bridal Veil Falls in Telluride, Colorado, things quickly took a tragic turn. One of the group had brought his three-month-old puppy, Blue, to the trip who slipped 15 feet down from the trail and got trapped on a ledge.

The other friends sprang into action and decided to do all they possibly could to save their buddy’s pooch.

One of the friends climbed down to the very end of the cliff to catch the pup in case he falls from the ledge.

Another member of the hiker group, a 25-year-old Denver woman, scaled down the cliff to get to the little dog, but she ended up losing traction and fell 30 feet further down. Fortunately, the man who was waiting at the bottom of the cliff managed to catch her and saved her from getting severely injured.

When local emergency responders showed up at around 11:30 in the morning, they rushed the woman to a hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. The hiker who had saved the woman was also taken to the hospital but was immediately released because he had only sustained minor injuries.

The puppy was successfully rescued by a skilled climber from the local police department. The rescuer used rigged ropes to reach the puppy and then brought him safely to his owner by placing him in a harness.

The story finally had a happy ending for everyone involved. The owner of the dog was truly grateful to his friends for risking their lives to save his beloved pooch. Because of this act of kindness between these true friends, their bond has become stronger than ever. But the dog owner will surely think twice before bringing his pooch on a high altitude hiking trip again.
