A Dog Misses His Owner Who Was Deployed – To Help His Dog, The Owner Decides To Send His Stinky Shirt Home

It’s no secret that while you’re gone, your dog misses you. This is especially true when we are gone for an extended period of time. Some dogs are more affected than others, therefore we must find ways to make them feel as if we haven’t abandoned them.

When one army reserve was deployed, he did something important for his dog that he left back at home.

Brindle was acquired from a Pennsylvania shelter by couple JD and Rachael Aument, giving their dog Xander a new brother. The dog was immediately attracted to JD, and their bond was the strongest the dog had ever experienced. This was why Brindle was so irritated by JD’s deployment.

JD had to do his job as an Army Reserve firefighter and move overseas for a while. The anguish of having to go and say goodbye to his best friend transformed the pooch’s entire personality.

Despite the fact that JD had been deployed for nine months, Brindle would still beg for him. He never forgot his BFF and he was frequently observed resting on the couch, waiting for his friend to return to play with him.

After hearing about what was happening to Brindle from his wife, JD looked for a way to help the dog that was seemingly depressed. This was when he had the great idea of bringing his scent to his home, and the simplest method to do so was to use a piece of his dirty clothing.

He rummaged through his soiled garments until he found the stinkiest one and wrapped it up to send back home. Brindle’s sadness vanished when Rachel finally presented him with the stinky t-shirt, and he became the happiest dog on the block. He was so enthralled by this revolting gift that he carried it around with him for days. Rachel had to persuade the dog to put the shirt on so he wouldn’t have to drag it around.

This small gesture reassured Brindle that his dearest friend was not genuinely abandoning him. Thankfully, the dog and the rest of the family didn’t have to wait much longer since JD returned home a month later.
