Emerson is a little dog who lived with his owner, but they didn’t get along very well. He suffered from abuse and never got the attention he deserved.
One day, he decided to leave and wander off on his own.
The homeless dog ended up at an animal shelter. He was not in good condition and his teeth were in horrible shape. The dog’s skin was also badly matted and the wound on his leg had become severely infected, so veterinarians had to remove it.
Nonetheless, Emerson, who got off to a rough start in life, now lives comfortably with his new owner, who appreciates and takes good care of him. Owners who don’t take care of their dogs tend to be abusive, neglectful, and irresponsible. They think of their dogs as toys, not living beings.
They don’t take the time to train their dogs properly or take them for walks. They often leave their pets chained up all day with no food, water, or shelter and they receive no attention from anyone. They allow their dogs to run free in the streets, parks, and other public areas.
This could cause problems if someone tries to play with or pet one of these dogs, because the dog may bite. Irresponsible dog owners are also more interested in making money than taking care of their animals. They sell their dogs’ puppies to anyone who can pay for them, and then they just abandon them when they become too old or sick to work anymore.
They are late with vaccinations or annual checkups for their dog. Many veterinarians require annual visits to make sure that your pet stays healthy and happy throughout the year. If you fail to keep up with these appointments, then your pet could become very sick or, worse, die.
Always remember to keep them happy and healthy by feeding them well and providing them with plenty of love and attention.
